CJC-1295 with DAC

Also known as CJC-1295 DAC · Drug Affinity Complex CJC-1295 · DAC:GRF

PreliminarySubcutaneous injectionNot FDA-approved for any indication. The CJC-1295 substance was removed from FDA's interim Category 2 bulk-substances list in September 2024, and subsequent Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee review did not establish a 503A compounding pathway, leaving its compounding status unresolved. Prohibited in sport (WADA, S2). Research/compounded use only.

CJC-1295 with DAC is a GHRH analog bonded to a Drug Affinity Complex that allows it to bind circulating albumin, substantially extending its duration of action in animal studies. Rather than producing a single sharp pulse, it has been described as raising baseline growth-hormone and IGF-1 levels over a sustained period. This prolonged, less physiologic growth-hormone elevation is the feature most often cited to distinguish it from the short-acting DAC-free version. It is an unapproved compound studied only in research and compounded contexts.

Studied / used for

  • Studied for sustained elevation of growth hormone and IGF-1
  • Explored for effects on body composition
  • Investigated as a longer-acting alternative to short-acting GHRH analogs

Commonly reported side effects

  • Injection-site reactions
  • Flushing
  • Headache
  • Fluid retention and peripheral edema
  • Joint aches or numbness/tingling reported in the context of IGF-1 elevation
