GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue that activates the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) to drive growth-hormone secretion, and is described in the literature as comparatively potent among the GHRPs. Alongside its growth-hormone effect it produces mild increases in prolactin, ACTH, and cortisol, and it can stimulate appetite. It is approved in Japan as a diagnostic agent for growth-hormone deficiency but is not approved in the US.
