Kisspeptin-10 is a fragment of the kisspeptin neuropeptide that acts upstream of the reproductive (HPG) axis, stimulating GnRH release from the hypothalamus, which in turn drives LH and FSH secretion. Human imaging studies suggest it may also modulate limbic brain activity in response to sexual and bonding-related stimuli. It is used mainly in research settings rather than routine clinical practice.
