Testosterone Enanthate

Also known as Test E · Xyosted · Delatestryl · testosterone 17-enanthate

Clinically studiedIntramuscular injectionSubcutaneous injectionFDA-approved as testosterone replacement therapy in men; Schedule III controlled substance in the US; prescription only; banned in sport (WADA)

Testosterone enanthate is a hormone (an androgen), not a peptide. Like cypionate, it is an oil-based esterified testosterone designed for slow release after injection, differing mainly in the ester chain and a marginally shorter duration. After administration the ester is hydrolyzed to release testosterone, which binds androgen receptors. It is a widely used and well-studied form of testosterone replacement therapy for male hypogonadism.
