Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide is a single molecule that activates receptors for two incretin hormones, GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1. This dual action improves glucose-dependent insulin response, slows gastric emptying, and reduces appetite. It was the first approved dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist.
